DIY: Baking a cupcake pie !

How to make this beautiful cupcake-pie ;

This weekend I made a pie with my lovely friend Linde! you can see her blog by clicking on the owl or this link! ;)
The main reason for baking this pie is the 'Jamin Cupcake Cup' on facebook.
Last year I did that and people can choose the pie they like. So Linde had voted on my pie.
And she won a price! Jamin giftcards. From that we were making this pie! (For the next Jamin Cupcake Cup, I think in September 2013). You will hear it then , because you all have to vote on our pie! ;)

We made a pie with 3 levels.
The lowest level was normal cake with a little bit jam in it.
The second level was the same dough with cacao
and that's also in the cupcake, on top of the cupcake is the topping from buttercream.

We have the pie covered and decorated with different colors of fondant (light pink, pink, white, blue, brown)
All the decoration is from fondant , except the pearls and the flower on the cupcake.

We are very happy with the result, the looks and it was also very delicious!
I hope you like our CupcakePiee , and you will hear from us when it is time to vote ;)

Here some pictures while we made it! Below this is the recipe ;)

Recipe dough: (for all the levels and cupcake!)

  • 375 g butter
  • 375 g sugar
  • salt
  • 12 g vanilla sugar
  • 8 eggs
  • 375 g flour
  • 3,75 g baking powder
  • cacao (for the second and cupcake)
  • forest fruit jam
Yes a little bit strange quantaties.. ;)

You need a baking mold from 20 cm and 10 cm and a cupcake mold.
You bake the pie at 160 degrees in the oven;
20 cm : about 60 minutes
10 cm; about 25 minutes
cupcake; about 15 minutes

and after that you can decorate your pie by your own! ;)

AND..

ENJOY!
